What is happening to EF/Class?

On the 18th of June 2021 EF/Class will close

When we set out to create EF/Class, we felt confident that our vision was unique and that we could make a meaningful difference to the lives of students and teachers. We believe we did.

However, during the successive, global COVID-19 lock-downs, we have seen a significant change in EF/Class usage patterns and even as live teaching is picking back up around the world, it is clear that habits & in-classroom tools are changing.

At EF we constantly strive to open the world through education. With changing usage patterns of teaching and learning around the world, we believe our mission is even more important than before. While we cannot reveal much yet, the dreams that powered EF/Class will live on, in apps and tools to come. We can't wait to show you.

We are incredibly grateful to the many thousand of teachers and students who have used EF/Class over the years and from the whole team here, we would like to thank you being part of our dream.

What will happen to my data?

Once we have completed the process to close EF/Class, all lesson data will be deleted. Your EF account, which is shared across all EF's digital services, will remain, to ensure you can continue to access other EF digital services.
